The wall bracket suspends the center of the bell 7'' away from the mounting surface. Therefore to allow for some potential swaying of the bell, we recommend the bracket be used for bronze bells 8'' or less in diameter (giving 3 inches of clearance between the bell and the mounting surface), and ceramic bells 4'' or less in diameter (giving 5 inches of clearance between the bell and the mounting surface).
