This piece shows a humanoid figure standing on a plant, perhaps representing that all of humanities creations have been built from natural resources. Maybe it is a fairy in a garden, lending a sense of mysticism to the world. Perhaps it is Jack and the Beanstalk, representing man’s climb up the natural ladder to reach for abundance and prosperity. It is hung with a patina-finished #125 bell, which can call one to ponder the relationship between humans and resources.
"Special Assemblies" feature Soleri-signed one-of-a-kind, never to be reproduced sculptural link elements, arranged into assembled compositions with our regular line bronze wind-bells. A Soleri-carved Styrofoam original sculpture was translated into either a bronze or aluminum sculptural link, via our "lost Styrofoam casting" process. Every original detail, including Soleri's signature, is revealed on the one-time cast link piece.
