Rain Chain Dimensions: 48" long including the #111 Burnished Bronze Windbell. For hundreds of years, the Japanese have collected rainwater by hanging “Kusari Doi,” or gutter chains. Functional and beautiful, the rain chains capture water from the rooftops and gently carry it downward. At Cosanti, form meets function exquisitely in these Rain Chains made of thick Dalle de Verre stained glass pieces and rust-resistant 16-gauge brass or copper wire. Often used in church windows, chunks of this colorful glass are hand-cut and lightly-distressed before being wire wrapped and finished with a Cosanti Originals Windbell to create each Rain Chain. Of varying lengths, and sometimes interspersed with fossils, crystal geodes, Cosanti Originals Rain Chains are able to withstand the elements and may be displayed indoors or outside.
