Meet Jerry and Laura, long-time collectors of Cosanti Originals and owners of AZ Modern in Tucson, Arizona.
Jerry and Laura have been collecting Cosanti Originals bells for about 14 years. They first became aware of the bells when they went to a sale at an art collector's home that was downsizing. Since then, they started acquiring them anytime they could. Eventually, they had a growing collection they hung in various locations around their home. Currently, they have about 70 bells in different shapes, sizes, and configurations. They love them for their earthy look and great sound but also for the great variety of bells that are made there. Eventually, they made it to Cosanti and were blown away by the architecture there. "It feels like a magical place to us, and now we try to stop by nearly every time we're in the Phoenix area," says Jerry.
They own a mid-century modern store in Tucson called AZ Modern, and their home is filled with mid-century modern treasures. To anyone who admires their bells (which is pretty much everyone), they tell them that Cosanti is a must-see when in the Phoenix area!"We are generally attracted to the clean lines of MCM, but somehow the earthy look of these bells really work well with our furnishings and architecture. Since our home has lots of glass, we enjoy our collection from both inside and outside of our home. Our two favorites are the large assemblage piece and one clay bell that seems like a pretty early and special one to us," says Jerry.
