Did you know that when you dine at Christophers at Wrigley Mansion, you could have your meal served with a Cosanti Originals piece?
Locals and visitors to the Phoenix area can enjoy a one-of-a-kind tasting-menu experience at Christopher's at Wrigley Mansion, which opened in 2021. Chef Christopher is a James Beard award winner, Best Chef of the Southwest, and 2022 nominee for Outstanding Chef and creator of the successful "Flavors of Phoenix" fundraiser for the American Liver Association.
"I first heard about Cosanti Originals while watching a historical documentary on Arizona. I've always been interested in art history and architecture, so it was interesting to learn about this part of Arizona's history," says Chris.
"I love the pieces because they're made here in Arizona (and not just here, but right here in Paradise Valley!) by artists who are passionate about their work and have put their hearts into every piece. The pieces are beautiful and unique—they have a special story behind them, making them even more special."
Chris incorporates Cosanti Original pieces into his process by using them as wine coasters and couches for customers' dishes. The pieces are not only beautiful but also durable enough to withstand the wear and tear that comes with everyday use.
"Since the pieces are made just down the street from the restaurant, I have been able to go to Cosanti and watch them cast the artwork. The artisans use an old-school technique called sand casting that dates back centuries—and it's fascinating how they still do it today!"
